“Rambling Thoughts on Knowledge”

Knowledge is a tricky thing. Without it we feel as if we’re lost in a dark room, hopelessly wandering around, searching for a light that is not there. At times we feel blind and exhuasted when we just can’t identify the answer. The true value of knowledge is often so overlooked in our lives.

God tells us in Proverbs 8:10,11 “Take my instruction instead of silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold, for wisdom is better than jewels, and all that you may desire cannot compare with her.”

Often times I forget to pray for wisdom in may daily life. I pray more for paitence, comfort, stressless situtations, and for my plans to turn out… And while I don’t think it’s wrong to lift up the desires of your heart, I’m left  wondering how much simpler life would be if I asked to blessed with knowledge…

Today we received the autoposy report back on my brother… For two months we have been left in the dark… Forced to base our understanding on assumptions & suspicions… Fighting the anger to keep from steering those ideas into more obsured assumptions that would only lead us to more pain, discomfort, and further from the truth… Now we know, and are thankful to have our first insticts confirmed…

Knowledge can’t  always take away the pain… It will not bring complete closer to the hurt we have inside… It won’t make the sleepless nights go away… But it does provide a sense of comfort, understanding, and peace when we need it the most… To live without knowledge is to live without sanity… I only pray I never stop striving “To Know…”
